New Budapest Hostel. Opening June 2012

!! OPENING JUNE 2012 !!
Welcome! This one was built as a 4-star hotel before it was upgraded to a wombats CITY HOSTEL.
We think it is one of the most splendid hostels you’ll see in a long time – and one of the most affordable ones, too. Location couldn’t be better: a very short walk from Deák Square, the city’s main transportation hub, all three metro lines stop here. Easy access to & from Budapest’s train and bus stations. All the sights of the Pest side of town are within easy walking distance, and we’re in the middle of the bohemian 6th district, too, with lots of unique nightlife venues to choose from.

The hostel is located in the newly refurbished Király street with its numerous restaurants, shops and bars. The main tourist attractions are just a few minutes' walk away, including the State Opera, Andrassy Boulevard, the Cathedral, the Synagogue, Heroes' Square, the Music Academy, Liszt Ferenc Square with its upmarket cafés and restaurants and the main shopping areas like Váci Street.
Wombats Hostel is superbly located in the heart of Budapest, between Deak Square and Andrassy Boulevard.
You will find mostly everything you need in Király Street and the area around our hostel:

A 24/7 supermarket is just opposite to Deak square and underground/ tram stop is just 5 minutes walk from the hostel. Banks/ATMs, drug store, bike rental, small bakery, pharmacy, a doctor, tourist information, meeting point for walking tours, art galleries and clubs are all located in the same street or just some minutes to walk.
Our hostel is 500 metres from the Danube, 800 metres from the Chain Bridge, 300 metres from St. Stephen's Basilica Square and 750 metres from the Opera House.
Király utca used to be the outer boundary of the former Jewish quarter. Gozsdu Courtyard, a series of passages and courtyards connecting Király utca and Dob utca, was once the core of the Jewish quarter with stores and workshops. Today, it's a shopping complex with restaurants and cafés. Gozsdu Courtyard comes alive every Sunday during GOUBA, a weekly Sunday bazaar held from spring to fall.
Even though style and design are taken good care of here, this does not affect the well-established value for money budget prices.
We are looking forward to welcome you and your friends at our new wombats CITY HOSTEL Budapest.
