GIORGIO ARMANI opens the first Emporio Armani Store and Emporio Armani caffe in BUDAPEST

Milan, 15 July 2009 -  Giorgio Armani S.p.A. is pleased to announce the opening of the first Emporio Armani store and caffe in Budapest, Hungary.

Located on Andrássy Avenue, the store will set the first presence of Giorgio Armani in Hungary.

Giorgio Armani said ?The Hungarian market represents a very dynamic retail environment today where there is a growing appreciation for fashion and luxury. I am therefore excited to introduce my Emporio Armani collection to Budapest, a fascinating city with an indisputable energy and beauty.

The Emporio Armani store covers 380 square metres on one floor. Much more than a fashion boutique, the new store design embodies Giorgio Armanis vision of the modern, casual lifestyle that Emporio Armani represents. The store offers the complete Emporio Armani lifestyle collection for men and women including formal and casual wear, sportswear, leather accessories, watches, eyewear, and jewellery collections.

The flooring is made of black glossy granite while the high ceiling alternates stainless steel panels and marmorino with recessed lights. One large screen projecting the current collections dominates the entrance of the store. The accessories area, which is located at the right side of the entrance, features full height transparent glass walls; the displays are surrounded by alternation of black glass and a silver fabric. Five big exterior windows, arcade-shaped, perfectly fit the original architecture of the historical Façade.

The overall impression is of modernity mixed with the essence of Emporio Armani in an unexpected and elegant way to create the perfect surrounding for the products. The Emporio Armani Caffé will serve as a bar with seating for more than
56 people with an external dining area that can accommodate up to 30 customers. Open for both lunch and dinner, in addition to its authentic Italian menu, it will also offer simple dishes throughout the day in keeping with the Emporio Armani restaurants in Milan, London, Paris, Dubai, San Paolo, Istanbul, Munich and Moscow. Located next to the store, the internal area of caffé features black glossy granite on the floors and a big backlit bar counter which contains two historical
columns. Mirrors on walls combined with Déco-style furniture in glossy black and red fabric create a soft yet sophisticated atmosphere.
