The Hungarian Risztov wins 10km marathon swim in London
The Hungarian Eva Risztov Thursday won the 10km marathon swimming olímica of the London Games, ahead of the U.S. Haley Anderson and Italy Martina Grimaldi, in the round in the Serpentine in Hyde Park.
Risztov set a time of 1 hour, 57 minutes, 38 seconds and 2/100 to prevail in this grueling test, taking a lead of just four hundredths to Anderson (1:57:38.2).
The Spanish Erika Villaecija finished in eighth place and the best was the Venezuelan American Yanel Pinto, who finished 14 th.
Argentina's Cecilia Biagioli disappointed with 17 th place and the Mexican Lizeth wheel was 21 th and last in the competition held in this famous park in London.
For his part, the Brazilian Poliana Okimoto was forced to leave in the fourth round with a picture of hypothermia and was removed in a wheelchair by the organizers.
