Cuba and Hungary are committed to expanding trade and assess joint ventures
Havana, June 10, 2013 (EFE). - Cuba and Hungary pledged today in Havana to expand trade and investment opportunities for assessing joint ventures, after a bilateral meeting of the Business Committee, local media reported.
The chairmen of the delegations, Tamara Taylor, for Cuba, and Tamás Gyenese, Hungary, signed a document comprising a dozen targets, reported local agency Prensa Latina.
Among them, Hungarians identify potential partners interested in investing on the island and continue the exchange of information to promote and coordinate businesses to develop business cooperation plan between the two countries.
The Hungarian company mission is headed by the vice president of international relations of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gyorgy Mosonyi, and integrating companies from 12 companies in that country.
Entrepreneurs represent sectors such as food, medical, electrical, renewable energy, communications, transportation and machinery, which made meetings with his Cuban counterpart.
Bilateral trade in the last five years has been very significant, and in the 2010-12 period there were no Cuban exports and imports from Hungary, over 57 percent are concentrated in inorganic chemicals and electrical accessories.
