20 Catalan companies participating in the 21th edition of Womex, the most important fair of world music
• The event will take place in Budapest (Hungary) from 21 to 25 October
• The Ministry of Culture will have a stand available to Catalan companies attending

• Womex has more than 2,200 accredited professionals and 1,200 companies from 90 countries
The 21th edition of the fair Womex world music, taking place in Budapest (Hungary) from 21 to 25 October, with the participation of 20 Catalan companies and institutions, with a total of 32 accredited professionals (34% the global accredited whole state). The Ministry of Culture will present at the fair with a stand available to Catalan companies. With its presence at Womex Department of Culture provides companies Catalan musical space business so that they can carry out their activities with maximum ease.
 
The presence of Womex allows companies to strengthen already established contacts with other companies; strengthen the market presence of its artists and regular services; contact professionals to help open up new markets; meet with developers that could engage the artists in its catalog; signed distribution licenses; • establish co-operation with companies from other countries, or have updated information on the latest market trends.
 
The Ministry of Culture will promote the activities and services of the companies present at Womex in order to raise awareness of the richness and variety of the Catalan music scene.
 
The Womex is considered the most important fair of world music with more than 2,400 accredited professionals and 1,470 companies from 90 countries. This year held in Budapest after being in Santiago de Compostela last year. It is an event which involved more than 900 programmers from festivals and theaters, and 450 companies between studios, publishers and distributors, over 200 international journalists accredited to attend the fair.
